Duane Raglin and Family

Duane Raglin grew up in a small town called Zion Hill in Midway, Kentucky. Duane began apprenticing as a blacksmith twenty-seven years ago, under the late John E. Collins. After his apprenticeship, Duane continued to work with Mr. Collins and furthered his career with the help of Steve Simon by starting his own business, Raglin Farrier Service. Raglin Farrier Service has been centered around extreme dedication to its’ client’s horses hoof care and a constant determination for furthering blacksmith education for over the last twenty years.

Raglin Farrier Service proudly provides farrier services to some of the most prestige thoroughbred farms in Lexington, Kentucky, including Lane’s End Farms, Middlebrook Farm, Winter Quarter Farm, Old Frankfort Park, and Gallery Stables, to name a few. Duane continues to strive for Raglin Farrier Service to provide the newest develops for high performance in hoof care and continues to help with new innovations that will benefit horses’ athletic abilities.
